About Us…

We are a league  comprised of 45 active members. As a group, we donated more than 9,000 hours for  the 2010-2011 year. By having each League member on one of the committees listed below, as a group, we can make sure the goals of the League are represented.  

Committees

 Community Outreach -  Responsible for making sure that the most needy of our local charities receive assistance  throughout the year

·Charity Ball – the League picks one charity in the local area to receive money raised from the Ball  

·Monthly Drives – donations are made at our monthly meeting from active members for a specific local charity 
  
Ways and Means  -
Responsible for  raising the majority of funds to help WSL obtain their 
goals

·Sally Foster - 40% of all sales go to WSL to help in their fundraising efforts

·Whale of a Sale – The annual WSL Whale of a Sale is one of the biggest fundraiser for the League 
 
Children’s  Projects – Responsible for organizing financial and volunteer support for the  charities that help our local children  

• 
  The YMCA Camp Reveille Project – League members donate their time along with crafts and lunches for the  campers.
  
  Racing for the Pink - A 5k run and 1 mile walk/run to help raise money to benefit the Southeast Cancer Unit and Hospice Satilla in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.
  
  Arts and Interest - Responsible for making sure the League members are able to enjoy themselves through events and parties planned especially for active members, sustainers, provisionals and life  members.
